Robert Newell joined BioMarin in 2013 and currently serves as the VP of Global External Operations. Before his current role, Robert acted as Quality Site Head for External Quality. Prior to BioMarin, Robert served in roles with Beverage, Automotive, and Medical Device firms before spending the last 24 years with biotechnology companies. Robert has held technical and leadership roles with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality responsibilities, with the last of these roles being with Amgen before joining BioMarin. Robert has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and a Master’s degree in Business from the University of Colorado Denver.
