Vikas Chand

Vikas Chand is the Managing Director of Global Manufacturing Engineering at Lam Research, where he leads manufacturing engineering operations across six global sites in the USA, Asia, and Europe. Initially brought on to shape long-term manufacturing strategy and pilot manufacturing in Europe, his role quickly expanded to encompass Lam’s worldwide manufacturing engineering organization. Previously, as Sr. Director of Product Management for Lithography, he drove the roadmap for dry photoresist, enabling cost-effective EUV lithography adoption and positioning Lam as a strong industry player. Earlier, as Director of Engineering and Product Management in India, he built a 200+ person organization, instilling a culture of operational excellence, enabling product ownership, and expanding Lam’s global engineering footprint. Before that, he held leadership roles in product management, business operations, and engineering at Lam Research and Novellus Systems, managing cross-functional teams in equipment manufacturing, supply chain optimization, and product development. His early career included engineering roles at Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts, where he implemented Toyota Production System principles. He holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from RV College of Engineering, and executive certifications in leadership and product management from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
