Tim Backe is a senior packaging and engineering leader with nearly 20 years of experience delivering high-impact projects across the CPG, food, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. As a Senior Packaging Engineer at Reynolds Consumer Products, he leads packaging initiatives and oversees new packaging commercialization within the Reynolds Kitchens category. Throughout his career, Tim has consistently delivered multi-million-dollar cost savings, enhanced packaging sustainability, and implemented advanced manufacturing, automation, and processing technologies. Prior to joining Reynolds, he held packaging leadership roles at NOW Foods, Mauser Packaging Solutions, Sunstar Americas, and Sabert Foodservice, where he played a pivotal role in driving packaging innovation, process improvements, and strategic cost reductions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has actively served on the IoPP Chicago Chapter board in various roles since 2012.
