Marc Fischer is a long standing member of the Engineering Leadership Team at Airbus. Having led the Airbus Flight Physics Centre of Competence as Senior Vice President for more than seven years, Marc took over the lead of Cabin & Cargo Engineering in 2021. A structural engineer by education, Marc joined Airbus in 2003 and held numerous leadership positions in Flight Physics, including Vice President for Loads & Aeroelasticity. He grew up on the border between Germany, France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Graduated from the University of Wales Cardiff with an MEng (Hons) and PhD, before returning to mainland Europe for an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs (CDI) in Paris. Marc passionately cares about Engineering, Technology & Digitalization, and has become a driving force when it comes to understanding the potential Cabin & Cargo hold as a digital platform. These include opportunities regarding data driven airline operations, new ancillary revenues, as well as game changing passenger experiences.
