Joydeep is the Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP of Corporate Operations at Gilead Sciences. In his current role he has oversight of several functions including corporate engineering, sustainability, risk management, and global procurement. He is also accountable for developing strategies grounded in operational excellence principles, and he is an expert in process optimization, simulation and automation. He previously held positions in manufacturing, technical operations, and supply chain at Biogen. His career began over 20 years ago at Bayer, where he held various engineering roles. He holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering as well as Master degrees in Electrical Engineering, Healthcare Management and Strategy and Business Administration. He currently resides in San Francisco, California.
