Jo Barrett is the Head of Product and Process Control at GSK. She is a seasoned business change leader with extensive experience in industrializing and launching new pharmaceutical products. With a career spanning over 11 years at GSK, she has held various key roles, showcasing her versatility and expertise in the pharma industry. In her current role, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and control of products and processes. Prior to this, she served as the OSD Value Stream Director, where she continued to demonstrate her prowess in steering product streams and adding value to the pharmaceutical manufacturing process. Her journey at GSK began as the Logistics Director, a position where she managed the global supply of pharmaceutical products produced at the GSK production facility in Ware. Her keen oversight ensured the smooth and efficient supply of essential pharmaceuticals to the market. Before taking on logistics, she held the role of Respiratory Technical Department Manager, contributing her technical expertise to the respiratory production facility. Her responsibilities included facilitating the transfer of new products, an area that requires in-depth knowledge and precision. She began her career at GSK as a Technical Manager, where she provided crucial technical support to the respiratory production facility. Her impressive career is supported by a strong educational foundation. She holds an MBA from the University of Hertfordshire and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) from the University of Bath.
