About the company: Ulta Beauty is the largest beauty retailer in the United States. It is an American chain of beauty stores headquartered in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Ulta Beauty carries cosmetics, fragrances, nail products, bath and body products, beauty tools, and hair care products. As of 2019, Ulta had stores in 48 states. A majority of Ulta Beauty stores are located in the East Coast region and in California. In August 2021, the retail chain Target started selling Ulta’s products. Ulta Beauty offers both high-end and drugstore cosmetics, skincare, and fragrances, in addition to its own brands of beauty products and fragrances.
About the speaker: Jennifer Kobus is the VP of Transportation at Ulta Beauty. She is an executive member of the Supply Chain Leadership team. In her role, she is responsible for developing the team’s strategy, leading agile operations and influencing strategic enterprise initiatives. She is also responsible for defining team’s roadmap, developing strategy and processes to support omnichannel capabilities, and developing a diversified carrier portfolio to support an agile environment. She has been with Ulta Beauty for 4 years. Previous to this, she held roles at Batory Foods, UCI-FRAM AutoBrands, Dean Foods, American Hotel Register and GLS Corporation. She holds a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from DePaul University.
