Dan Newman is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Honeywell’s Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) business unit. He joined Honeywell from Boeing, where he was a Senior Technical Fellow and Chief Engineer of Advanced Vertical Lift Research. Newman has chaired three NATO Industry Advisory Group Study Groups on Next Generation Rotorcraft Capabilities and was a program manager at DARPA, focusing on advanced rotorcraft and aircraft technologies. At Honeywell, he oversees the technology roadmap for AAM, aligning with trends in autonomy and artificial intelligence. Newman is also a Technical Fellow and Honorary Fellow of the VFS.
