Dan Floyd is Vice President of Manufacturing Technology for The Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway Company. In this role, he is responsible for best-in-class engineering and process design globally to enable safe operations and speed-to-market for the organization, helping to deliver sustainable solutions that advance mobility, improve well-being and enhance modern life. He leads Lubrizol’s Engineering, Process Technology and Third-Party Manufacturing teams globally.

An industry veteran of 28 years, Dan’s extensive global leadership is rooted in safety, manufacturing, engineering, process and manufacturing technology.

Dan has demonstrated skill and experience in commodity and specialty chemical environments, including renewables, new product and process commercialization in large company and small start-up environments, and has held progressive global leadership roles in manufacturing , R&D and process engineering functions.

He has a track record of delivering significant company and customer value with a continuous improvement mindset to drive operational efficiency, best-in-class engineering practices, and effective implementation of manufacturing technology.

Before joining Lubrizol, Dan led global engineering and process technology functions within PPG Industries. He also served in various manufacturing, process and research roles with Dow, and held roles with Renmatix, Afton Chemical and Clorox Company.

Dan has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of West Virginia. He also holds nine U.S. patents.
