Wolfram Carius is Executive Vice President of the Pharmaceuticals Division. He has also served as Head of Cell and Gene Therapy and Executive Vice President of Pharmaceuticals Product Supply at Bayer, overseeing its global networks in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and biologics. Prior to joining Bayer, Wolfram was a Senior Vice President at Sanofi, responsible for the technical development and manufacturing of biologics. From 1987 to 2013, he worked at Boehringer Ingelheim, eventually leading its worldwide chemical, pharmaceutical, and biopharma production network. In 2009, he was appointed to the company’s Board of Management, overseeing Human Resources and Technical Operations. Wolfram has over 33 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and has worked across Asia, South America, North America, and Europe.
