Ciaran has over three decades of experience in providing manufacturing solutions to the Medical Device Industry. He qualified as a toolmaker in 1990, and eventually founded Premier Machine Tools (PMT) in 2000. Through his visionary leadership, PMT evolved into a premium turnkey solutions provider for the MedTech sector. In 2023, PMT was acquired by Seco, a division of the Sandvik Group, which is one of the largest manufacturing companies in the world, headquartered in Sweden.

Ciaran’s expertise extends across delivering end-to-end solutions for new product innovation, continuous improvement, and R&D in orthopedic manufacturing. Seco and PMT are driving global collaboration between industry partners, both within and outside the Sandvik group. From powder to packaging and all steps in between, they provide seamless operations and optimal solutions for manufacturing companies worldwide. Ciaran is leading the delivery of a complete technology support program for customers working in highly advanced production units, covering areas from large volume serial products to small batch sizes and one-off custom implants.
