Melinda Painter is the Senior Director of Graphics Engineering Supply Chain at AMD, where she was recruited from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to build an independent supply chain unit within the graphics engineering team. In this role, she has driven best-in-class cost strategies, strengthened supplier alignment, and ensured product continuity during the 2021 global supply chain crisis. Previously, she served as Senior Director of Supply Chain, Logistics, and Program Management at HPE, where she led a team of 25 and achieved $2B in customer contracts—the company’s strongest year—while reducing logistics costs by 30%. Earlier, as Vice President of Supply Chain at Hyliion, she established the company’s first global supply chain organization to manufacture hybrid electric drive systems for tractor-trailers. She also founded Big View Associates, a consultancy specializing in supply chain, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and supplier diversity. Melinda has also held leadership roles as Head of Supply Chain and CSR at BlackBerry, where she grew supplier diversity spend from $0 to $400M, and as Vice President of Supply Chain Management at Dell, managing $4B in annual spend. She began her career with RLX Technologies as Director of Supply Chain. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University.
