Frédéric Zwahlen was appointed to the new CSL Vifor Leadership Team as Head of Global Technical Operations in August 2022. In this role, he reports to CSL Vifor General Manager Hervé Gisserot. With over 30 years in the healthcare industry, Frédéric has significant experience leading high-growth teams in manufacturing and supply chain management. Frédéric joined Vifor Pharma in 2001 as Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain and moved to more responsible positions as Site and Multi-Site manager in various locations in Switzerland and Europe, finally being appointed as Senior Vice President, Head of Technical Operations in 2019. In February 2022, he was appointed as a member of the Expanded Executive Committee and played an integral role in the integration of Vifor Pharma into the CSL family. Prior to joining Vifor Pharma, he held progressively senior roles in production, manufacturing, and quality in CSL Behring and Roche Diagnostics. A resident of Bern, Switzerland, Frédéric is Swiss citizen and grew up in Geneva, Switzerland, where he holds a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Geneva. Frédéric is fluent in French, German and English.
