Aflal Rahmathullah is the Vice President of Product Development and Engineering at Porex and is located in the Atlanta, GA metro area. In this capacity, the Porex global engineering team is located in the United States, Europe, Malaysia and China and undertakes materials research, product innovation and new product and technology introductions for customers in the writing instruments, fragrance delivery, cosmetics, specialty industrial and life sciences/healthcare end markets. His team works with various global customers and packaging design groups to provide best in class porous materials components in the pursuit of bringing to life solutions that are sustainable, varied and valuable to consumers. Aflal has over 20 years of engineering experience in varied parts of the filtration industry and specifically in polymer-based materials and composites development. He enjoys shuttling between the big picture and the details, helping teams generate tremendous successes along the way. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University, an undergraduate degree from Anna University (Chennai) in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the Carlson School at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
