Manuel Spitzlay is the Senior Director of Sales at A123 Systems LLC, where he leads Sales, Business Development, and Marketing teams across the United States. He first joined A123 Systems in Europe in 2015, contributing to the company’s expansion in advanced low-voltage LFP automotive battery solutions across Europe and North America. From 2023 to 2025, Manuel served as Senior Technical Sales Manager and Director of Sales at American Battery Solutions, where he deployed lithium-based decarbonization strategies for the North American transportation, heavy-duty, and construction sectors. Since rejoining A123 Systems in April 2025 at the North American Headquarter close to Detroit, he is focusing on strengthening the company’s technology presence and customer partnerships across the Americas in both the automotive and the energy storage system market. Manuel holds an International Bachelor of Science in Automotive Engineering and Customer Service from the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen, Germany, and Kettering University in Flint, Michigan.
