Christoph Schmid serves as the Chief R&D Officer at GN Group, where he holds global responsibility for hardware, software, and AI innovation across the company’s divisions, including Hearing, Enterprise, and Gaming & Consumer. As a key member of GN’s Executive Leadership Team, Christoph leads a team of approximately 1,200 professionals in R&D, Product Management, and Global Quality across nine major sites. He has played a pivotal role in merging the former R&D organizations of GN Hearing and GN Audio, creating a cohesive global R&D structure that drives cutting-edge technology. With a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Munich, along with an Executive MBA from ESMT Berlin, Christoph has a strong academic foundation. His previous leadership roles include Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Product Management at Biotronik and Global R&D Vice President at Sivantos.
