Ian Purdy is the SVP of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Intuitive Surgical. He has more than 25 years of international quality, regulatory, and clinical research experience within large, global medical device and diagnostic companies. He has extensive experience in all classes of medical devices, diagnostics, equipment, and software and knowledge of AI/ML and integrated digital solutions. He has experience with companies including: Smith’s Medical, Boston Scientific, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Haemonetics, and Apple. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Physiology from MIT and is based in California.
