Mizanu Kebede is the Chief Quality & Regulatory Officer at Smith+Nephew and member of the Executive Leadership team. He is responsible for leading all aspects of quality and regulatory strategy development and implementation. He also communicates directly with global regulatory agencies on all regulatory matters and is responsible for the company’s product quality and reliability. Mizanu has worked in the Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical and Health Care industries for over twenty- five years. Prior to joining Smith & Nephew, he held various senior level positions including at Avanos Medical, Thermo-fisher Life Technologies, Steris Corporation, and Johnson & Johnson. Mizanu has a B.S. degree in Medical Technology and a M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology. He is also a certified Process Excellence Six-Sigma Black Belt, has published in many scientific journals and has received patents in medical device areas. Mizanu serves as an Advisory Board Member for the United Way, North Fulton and is actively involved with United Way of Greater Atlanta.
