Jeff Loth is the Director of Packaging Sustainability at Microsoft, leading the company’s Packaging R&D function. In this role, he defines and manages Microsoft’s packaging technology roadmap, balancing evolving business needs, emerging market trends, and sustainability goals. With over 40 years of experience in packaging, over 20 of these years are at Microsoft, where he has played a pivotal role in creating innovative and environmentally responsible packaging solutions across Microsoft’s diverse product lines, including Xbox, Surface, Windows, and Office. Before joining Microsoft, he held leadership positions in global package research, design, and development at major consumer product companies, including Wrigley, Kraft Foods, and Pfizer. His expertise spans concept-to-manufacturing development, sustainable materials, and cutting-edge packaging technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology/Packaging from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
