Ellen Costa de Santana Silva is a Senior Manager of Global Supply Chain Excellence, Petrochemicals at BASF. Her professional journey includes a significant tenure at BASF, where she has held roles such as Senior Planner Supply Chain Analyst and Senior Global Supply Chain Excellence in Petrochemicals. Her extensive experience encompasses logistics operations, materials planning, and end-to-end supply chain processes. Notably, she possesses a curiosity for learning new tools, processes, and business models, making her an asset in a constantly evolving field. Prior to her roles at BASF, she held positions as an Analyst in Process Logistics and Senior Global Supply Chain Excellence. Her contributions included implementing best practices in operational processes and utilizing technology to enhance productivity. She also facilitated collaborations and new solutions tailored to meet business demands. Her earlier career saw her engage in projects at various organizations, where she developed valuable expertise in areas like quality control, process improvement, and environmental safety. These diverse experiences have equipped her with a unique set of skills and a deep understanding of chemical engineering, making her a valuable asset in the field. Some of the organizations she was part of prior to BASF include Companhia de Saneamento de Sergipe – DESO, Cargill, Arte Galênica Farmácia de Manipulação, and Embrapa Tabuleiros Costeiros. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Sergipe and completed a Sandwich Graduation in Chemical Engineering at Michigan State University. She obtained a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, specializing in Materials and Bioprocesses. Currently, she is working towards an MBA in Business Management at USP – Universidade de São Paulo, emphasizing her commitment to both technical and business aspects.
