About the speaker: Dr. Sebastian Gottschalk is the VP of Supply Chain Strategy, Global Engineering, and Technology Development at Beiersdorf. In this role, he spearheads Beiersdorf’s global investment program and network transformation, driving the organization towards a competitive and future-ready supply network, digitized and sustainable manufacturing plants, and innovative manufacturing technologies. He holds key responsibility for factory and network master planning, global manufacturing capital expenditure, and processing and production technology. With over 14 years of experience as a supply chain and manufacturing leader, he has demonstrated remarkable expertise in various strategic roles. Prior to his current position, he played a pivotal role in constructing and leading Beiersdorf’s largest overseas facility in Mexico. Additionally, he successfully established Beiersdorf’s global production efficiency program and contributed significantly to strategic projects for production network development. Before joining Beiersdorf, he garnered valuable experience in the consulting field, notably serving as the leader at the renowned RWTH Aachen University. He pursued his studies at RWTH Aachen University in Germany and INSA de Lyon in France. He holds a Ph.D. in Production Management from RWTH Aachen University and has earned the title of Executive MBA from the prestigious University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
